A breath of hope for Hamedullah
For most children, breathing is a given. For Hamedullah, it's a daily struggle – despite having already undergone two operations. He lives with his family in the slums of Islamabad and suffers from severe tracheal constriction and pneumonia.
To be able to breathe normally at all, he currently has a tracheostomy – an artificial opening in his neck through which air flows directly into his trachea.
Another operation gives him hope... The state hospital in Islamabad is covering the costs of this procedure. But his recovery depends on what comes after: follow-up care, medication, food, and a clean, safe environment are not covered. Without this support, his recovery is at risk.
