Stronger than fate
War leaves deep scars; some tragedies are hard to imagine. As the sole survivor of an attack in Afghanistan, this father of eight lost a leg, a hand, and his eyesight. But he refused to abandon his family. Poverty nearly took away his home—the fragile roof that protects his family. Thanks to Warm Hearts and your generosity, we were able to ease his burden a little and provide him with the support he needed to survive this difficult time with dignity.
